Fotologue app Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 3, 2026
Fotologue ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy describes how your information is handled when you use the App.
1. No Personal Data Collection
Fotologue is an "Offline-First" application. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect, store, or transmit any personal identifiable information (PII) to our servers.
2. On-Device Data Storage
All data you enter into the App—including your gear library (cameras, lenses, film), exposure logs, notes, and environmental conditions—is stored locally on your device using a private database (Room SQLite). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the "Backup" or "Export" features to share it with other apps or storage providers you trust.
3. Permissions and Usage
The App requests specific permissions to provide its core photography features:
Location (GPS): Used only when you add or edit an exposure log to record the coordinates of your shot. This coordinate is stored strictly on your device.
Camera: Used by the Light Meter feature to analyse light levels and capture optional thumbnails for your logs. Images are stored in your device's private storage.
4. No Third-Party Sharing
We do not share, sell, or trade your data with any third parties. There are no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs integrated into Fotologue.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
You have full control over your data. You can delete individual log entries, specific gear items, or the entire database at any time through the App's settings or by uninstalling the application.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
